Expanded Metal as a Balustrade and Design Element
In this project, expanded metal was used not only as a railing but also as a design element.
Our 337 mm round mesh made of aluminum was used here.
The mesh panels were cut to size, and a 45° miter was applied at the corners to create a visually appealing corner finish. Aluminum profiles were attached to the mitered edges.
The mesh panels themselves were riveted to the substructure. The expanded metal runs in a ring around the building.
